CBT has grown an excellent reputation for helping people with their emotional difficulties. It is often the first treatment that your GP will suggest for anxiety and mood disorders.

CBT helps by not only giving you an understanding of why you are struggling but it also facilitates change so that you can begin to feel better.

In therapy you will begin by looking at recent times when you have experienced distress so that you can gain a detailed picture of what is truly happening in those moments. After which you will work closely with your therapist to breakdown these problems.

Each step of the therapeutic process is done together.

You decide your goals.

You decide your treatment plan.

CBT has been proven to help:

  • Depression

  • Worries for your health

  • Anxiety linked to social situations

  • Obsessive compulsive disorder

  • Panic attacks

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder

  • Eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, over-eating and disorganised eating

  • Chronic pain

  • Addictions

  • Borderline personality disorder
